Green Mann is Michael Anthony Buonaiuto.

The 20-year-old commuter student — known for appearing around the Boca campus in a full-body green spandex suit — was detained by the FAU Police Department yesterday.

Music professor Rebecca Lautar called the police around 8 p.m., Police Department administrator Nancy Brecht said.

“Lautar stated that Buonaiuto entered her classroom, which was occupied with students, in the middle of her lecture and began to dance and take off his outer garments, which revealed a green spandex body suit,” according to the police report (see right).

“It should also be noted that Buonaiuto had a green hood covering his face which also heightened fear to the professor. … Lauter stated that she was greatly disturbed by the actions of Buonaiuto, which held up her lecture, and felt threatened by his behavior.”

Lautar could not be reached for comment as of publication time.

Buonaiuto was not arrested but received a student referral — which the police could not release — due to numerous past complaints about his behavior.

“[He is an] extremely friendly kid, though, but yea, he does shit like this,” said an anonymous source by Facebook chat this morning. The source attended high school with Buonaiuto but wished to remain anonymous so Buonaiuto would not know he commented.

Last month, Buonaiuto told the Owl Times that he would unmask himself when Green Mann had 3,700 Facebook friends. As of publication time, the account had 3,546.
