FAU baseball’s fall exhibition game against British Columbia was cut short due to some inclement weather. Regardless, the Owls showed enough in just under four innings to raise some eyebrows.
The offense was active early, as junior catcher Levi Meyer collected four RBIs, with three doubles and two runs scored. Arguably the shortened game’s featured highlight, the Owls added on to their total after sophomore infielder Ricky Santiago blasted a two-run homer down the right-field line.
British Columbia took advantage of sophomore pitcher Brett Nizamoff’s accuracy troubles in the third inning. On the other hand, starting pitcher junior Jeremy Strawn retired all three batters he faced.
