The following is a list of scholarships that are available to FAU students. Unless otherwise noted, applications can be found in the Financial Aid Office, which is located above the Breezeway Cafeteria in Rm. 227. Bank Atlantic Scholarship – Every month Bank Atlantic will give a $200 scholarship to a selected student from a chosen college. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, gave at least a 2.0 GPA, be a degree-seeking student at FAU with a declared major, and have a Bank Atlantic Account. Raymond Foundation Scholarship – This scholarship is being offered to juniors and seniors majoring in Business, Education, Engineering, Nursing or Science. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA. For more information, go to the Financial Aid office above the breezeway.Deadline: December 1, 2003
Army Emergency Relief – Applicants may include dependent, step, or legally adopted children of an army soldier on active duty, retired or deceased while on active duty or after retirement. Gray area retirees are also eligible. Applicant must also be unmarried, under the age of 22 on May 1, 2004, and hold a GPA of 2.0. Louisville Seminary Merit Scholarship Award – This scholarship is designed to support and encourage people of extraordinary promise for ministry, as well as to emphasize the church’s role in identifying and calling forth its own leader. Bank of America Scholarship – Bank of America is offering a Florida Community Scholar’s Program for incoming freshmen. To be eligible for this scholarship you must be a first-time-in college (FTIC) student entering a state public university who is demonstrating financial need and has partaken in community service. One student a year will be chosen for each university that applies. Each recipient will receive a $2,000 annual scholarship renewable for three years. All Academic Team Scholars – Up to three $1,250 scholarships to members of the Florida Community College All Academic Team with a minimum 3.50 GPA. Renewable for up to 5 semesters contingent upon maintaining a cumulative 3.2 GPA while a full-time student at FAU. Nursing Scholarship Program – The Nursing Scholarship Program will provide scholarships to individuals in nursing programs. In exchange, the recipients agree to serve for at least two years at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses. Army Emergency Relief Scholarships Fund – Eligibility: Applicant must be a dependant child of an active, retired, or deceased army soldier.
