Bank Of America Florida’s Community Scholars Program — Each recipient will receive a $2,000 annual scholarship renewable for three years. Must be a first-time-in college student. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need as defined by the university’s financial aid office.
Depan International Freshman Student Scholarship — Award of $2,000 per year for a first-time freshman entering FAU on a student loan or scholarship. Eligibility criteria include outstanding academic achievement, English proficiency, and evidence of community service or activity.
Depan Merit Recognition Scholarship — Awards of $200 non-renewable, offered to any student who was recognized in their senior year of high school as a National Merit, National Achievement or National Hispanic Scholarship Scholar, Finalist or Semi-Finalist and who enters FAU after previously enrolling and completing credits at another institution of higher education.
FAU Presidential Scholarship — Awards of $3,000 per year for first-time in college freshmen with a high school academic average of 3.5/4.0 and an SAT-I of 1270 or an ACT of 28. Renewable up to four years based on academic achievement.
M. Brenn Green Scholarship — Two renewable awards of $1,000 per year to first-time in college freshmen majoring in: Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Economics, Geography, Health Administration, Political Science, Social Psychology, Social Work or Sociology.
Martin Luther King Award — Awards of $2,350 per year for first-time in college freshmen who meet the academic requirements for admission to FAU and demonstrate financial need. Renewable up to four years based on academic achievement. To determine eligibility, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Martin Luther King Scholar Award — Awards of $2,500 per year for first-time in college freshmen with a 3.0 GPA and 1100 on the SAT-I or 25 on the ACT.
National Merit Scholar — Awards of $5,000 per year are offered to qualified students named as National Merit Scholars by the National Merit Scholarships Corporation. Candidates are selected by NMSC according to PSAT results. Documentation of selection as recipient is required. Renewable up to four years based on academic achievement.
National Merit/Achievement/Hispanic-Scholarship Finalist — Awards of $4,000 per year are offered to qualified students named as Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation or National Hispanic Scholar Recognition Program-The College Board. Candidates are selected by NMSC or NHSRP according to PSAT results. Renewable up to four years based on academic achievement.
National Merit/Achievement/Hispanic-Scholarship Semifinalist — Awards of $3,000 per year renewable up to four years based on academic achievement, for qualified students named as Semifinalists by the National Hispanic Scholar Recognition Program- The College Board. Candidates are selected by NMSC or NHSRP according to PSAT results. Documentation of selection as “Merit” recipient is required. Renewable up to four years.
Salutatorian Scholarship — Awards of $3,000 per year are offered to first-time in college freshmen that were high school Salutatorians. Renewable up to four years based on academic achievement.
SECME, Inc. — Awards of $2,350 per year available to a limited number of students from SECME High Schools in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Students must have participated in the SECME program and must submit a personal essay and two letters of reference with the Scholarship Application. Apply through FAU, Division of Engineering Student Services.
Valedictorian Scholarship — Awards of $4,000 per year are offered to first-time in college freshmen that were high school Valedictorians. Renewable up to four years based on academic achievement.
United States Army ROTC Scholarships — Available for full time students enrolled in the Army ROTC program. Benefit package includes payment of tuition and fees, $600 for books, and a monthly stipend during the academic year. Scholarships are limited. Apply through the ROTC Scholarship/Enrollment Officer at 305/348-1619 for additional requirements.
Walter Gaeser Scholarship — Is awarded to first-time in-college freshmen in Business. It is available to a limited number of students who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is non-renewable and quantities are limited.
All Academic Team Scholars — Up to three $1,250 scholarships to members of the Florida Community College All Academic Team with a minimum 3.50 GPA. Contingent upon maintaining a cumulative 3.2 GPA while a full-time student at FAU. Deadline for nominations is June 1 for transfer in the following Fall or Spring semester. Apply through the FAU Director of Financial Aid.
Brain Bowl — Two scholarships of $1,175/semester for students on the winning brain bowl team. Renewable for up to 5 semesters or until graduation (whichever occurs first). Apply to FAU Director of Financial Aid. Deadline: June 1
Depan Transfer Scholarship Indian River Community College — Award of $2,000 renewable up to two years offered to students transferring to FAU from Indian River Community. Eligibility criteria will include: Outstanding record of academic achievement; Recognition through Honors Program participation or identification as a Community College Scholar.
Miss Miami/Miss South Florida Coast — Scholarship awards and a chance to become Miss Florida or even Miss America. Applicants should be between the ages of 17 and 24. For more information call 954/392-8186.
George Burlew Scholarship — Applicants must: be interested in pursuing marine-related studies; submit one letter of recommendation; submit proof of student status; and return scholarship form and essay.

EGM Fellowships — Florida Atlantic University offers prestigious fellowships, through the FAU/FIU Joint Center for Environmental and Urban Problems, to students interested in Environmental Growth Management (EGM). EGM Fellows study for the Master Degree in Public Administration or Urban and Regional Planning. Fellows who pursue the full-time five-semester Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) program receive $17,500.
Ph.D. Fellowships — Outstanding students interested in pursuing the Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration, a research, teaching and public service degree, are urged to apply for Fall admission and a $11,000 Scholarship Stipend per academic year. In addition to the $11,000 Scholarship, students receive a partial tuition waiver. Scholarships are awarded in the fall term to full-time students. Recipients work 20 hours per week, which provides them with an opportunity to gain valuable teaching and/or research experience.
Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellowships — Through the Dissertation Fellowship Program, the Spencer Foundation aims to build capacity in the education research community by supporting a new generation of scholars from a wide range of fields.
The Faculty and Staff Legacy Scholarship — Any child or grandchild of a FAU faculty and staff member is eligible for the Faculty and Staff Legacy Scholarship. The qualified child or grandchild must be enrolled as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student at FAU to apply. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
