Some people may live their whole life and never find love. However, I am a firm believer in the idea that there is someone for everyone in this world. I am only 21 years old, and I’ve found love. For the past year and a half, I’ve had someone to share my life with, to experience my ups and downs of my everyday encounters. Most importantly, I’ve come to understand the meaning behind unconditional love. Regardless of how your significant other may look or act, at the end of the day, love conquers all and the petty things no longer take precedence.
Love is like a drug, it is addicting and it is a high that you hope will never end. Often, at times I notice my mind wandering off and I realize that I am living a utopian dream that hopefully, will never end. I am growing in ways that I never imagined possible, and for that reason alone, I have become a better person.
I now have responsibilities to uphold. I have someone in my life that I want to keep happy and proud, and above all, I have someone that is deserving of my love. Luckily, I fit all of those requirements.
Relationships have their excellent, breathtaking moments.
But, at the same time, a few rough spots may have to be evened out. If you can surpass and overcome those rough times, then you know it’s true love you have found.
You cannot go on a quest, or a search for love, instead, love must find you. A little patience is required, but in the end, it’s worth it. The relationship that I am in is my first true and reciprocated love. I truly cherish every moment I spend with the person that loves me unconditionally.
They have taught me a new way of life and a new way of love. So, for those of you who are desperately seeking their prince (or princess) charming, hold on, have some patience, and you will find the happiness that I have found. The Beatles couldn’t have said it any better, “All you need is love.”
