After four months of renovations, the new cafeteria on the Boca campus is slated to open August 23 – the day this paper hits the racks. Sporting more than just a new look, the expanded Breezeway Food Court will offer more dinning options, healthier selections, and tons more in and outdoor seating. Here’s a look at where you can go to meet and eat:
OutakesThis health-orientated convenience store offers gourmet soup, salads and sandwiches, baked goods and full line of hot and cold beverages. You can even pick up your groceries and other assorted goodies. The Outakes convenience market is also available inside the Student Union.
Salsaritas If you’re looking for fresh burritos and tacos, Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina is the place to go. The Tex-Mex inspired menu also includes quesadillas, fajitas, salads and nachos. All meals are made to order with a signature salsa.
Wendy’sCan you say old-fashioned hamburger, fries and a frosty? Of course, who can resist the cute redhead in pigtails. Wendy’s also offers fresh salads, grilled chicken sandwiches, soups and baked potatoes.
Mamma Leone’s PizzaStraight from the heart of New York, Mamma Leone’s Italian Restaurant features authentic Italian pizza, pasta and salads. All meals are prepared with fresh home-style ingredients.
Chick-N-GrillOffering a healthier take on chicken, this tasty grill features marinated grilled chicken prepared the way you want it, tossed and chopped salads, and pita sandwiches all with Chick-N-Grill’s homemade sauces. All meals are prepared hot and fresh and made to order.
Jow Jing and Olo SushiAsian fusion comes to the Breezeway cafeteria with the addition of these two fine Asian cuisine restaurants. Jow Jing and Olo Sushi will feature fresh sushi, rice bowls and various meats and veggies to make your very own special dish.
Quiznos SubReturning to the food court as one of FAU’s favorite sub shops, Quiznos offers an array of delicious toasted subs, fresh salads and hot soups. There’s always a line, so try to make it before the noon lunch rush.
