Hispanic Latino Heritage Month will be observed at FAU through Oct. 15. Events will take place on all campuses, presented by the Division of Student Affairs and co-sponsored by the Association of Latin American Students (ALAS), Broward Owl Productions, the Offices of Multicultural Affairs, the South Florida Story-telling Project, Student Government Black Student Union/ Multicultural Programming (BSUMP) and the Student Government Program Board.
On Thursday, Sept. 24, the following events will be offered:
Noon-1:30 p.m., Traditions Plaza, Breezeway, Boca Raton campus — Master Storyteller Leeny Del Seamonds will perform Latino stories spiced with exquisite mime and a cornucopia of voices from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Traditions Plaza on the Breezeway of the Boca Raton campus.
6-7 p.m., Live Oak Pavilion, Student Union, Boca Raton campus — Hispanic Student/Employee Networking Reception and Awards. RSVP required; call the Office of Multicultural Affairs at 7-3959.
7-10 p.m., Live Oak Pavilion, Student Union, Boca Raton campus — Latino Student Organization and Greek Showcase. Includes a spectacular step show by Latino fraternities and sororities.
