The flags on FAU’s campuses are flying at half-staff today to recognize the deaths of three members of the community that passed away in May.
Those three members are Steven Joyner, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Letters, Roodal Kangoo from Housing and Residential Life, and James Walborn from the Office of Students with Disabilities.
“Every month the university recognizes those students and faculty that passed away by putting the flags at half-mast,” said Kristine Gobbo, assistant vice president of media relations. “[Former FAU President] Frank Brogan started this tradition under his administration.”
Gobbo was not able to divulge the manner in which each passed.
