FAU will be hosting the 13th annual Timucua Pageant in the Housing lawn on Nov. 1.
It will start at 8 p.m. and is sponsored by Housing and Owl Radio, with support from the Homecoming Committee.
The Timucua Pageant is one of FAU oldest traditions, according to the FAU website. It started in 1998 in Timucua Towers, which is now Glades Park Towers, as a talent show. Both men and women could participate.
This year’s theme is called “Evolution: Celebrating 50 Years.” The contestants will be modeling evening wear, spirit wear and decade wear, starting with the 1960s.
There will also be a talent and question and answer portion of the show. The questions will be based on each student’s view of the progression of FAU.
The winners will receive a gift package that includes tickets to the “Watch the Throne Tour ft. Jay-Z and Kanye West” provided by Owl Radio.
