In just over three weeks, FAU football will open the 2013 regular season at Sun Life Stadium for its first-ever matchup with the Miami Hurricanes.
And you can literally be along for the ride.
The Owl Scholarship Fund, a philanthropic organization devoted to funding and supporting FAU’s 19 athletic programs, is offering a round-trip ride in a charter bus to the game on Friday, Aug. 30.
The bus, which will follow the team on the road to Miami Gardens, is scheduled to leave the Tom Oxley Center at 4:30 p.m. and arrive at the stadium early for a tailgating event. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m., and the bus will return to Boca 45 minutes after the game ends.
A seat on the bus and ticket to the tailgating party costs $40 per person and does not include admission to the game. Each traveler must be a member of the OSF, which you can join for a one-time fee of $50.
The deadline to reserve a seat is Monday, Aug. 19, and they are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To reserve your seat or find out more information on the OSF, contact FAU Development Coordinator Stephen Hammond at 561-297-0218 or [email protected].
