FAU employee arrested for videotaping in men’s bathroom

Former FAU employee Seth Thompson was arrested for videotaping men using the bathroom on the FAU Boca campus and posting the videos on pornographic websites. Thompson was arrested yesterday by Palm Beach County on the charges of video voyeurism (video taping a person without consent) and video voyeurism dissemination (broadcasting a video for explicit purposes), both of which are third-degree felonies.

Thompson resigned from his position as a coordinator of academic support services on Aug. 16, 2013 having worked for FAU since May 2002, according to FAU Director of Media Relations Lisa Metcalf.

A student alerted police in June that he had been video taped while using the restroom and the video was later found on Pornhub.com according to the Palm Beach Post. According to FAU PD, Thompson took the videos using his iPhone and uploaded the videos using a laptop provided by FAU to various sites, including XTube.com and Tumblr. It has not been confirmed which bathroom the videos were taken in.
