Alfred Morris to compete for second “Madden” cover
Former FAU running back Alfred Morris is in contention to be on the cover athlete of “Madden 15,” which will be on sale this coming August.
Morris, a sixth-round pick of the 2012 draft and the starting running back for the Washington Redskins, was featured on the cover of last year’s game, “Madden 25” (named for the game’s 25th anniversary).
Calvin Johnson was on the cover of “Madden 13,” then “Madden 25” came along to commemorate 25 years of the franchise. Morris is hoping to be the next player elected to don the cover of the best-selling video game franchise.
He’ll be participating in a bracket-style tournament with 15 other players, and fan voting will determine the ultimate winner. Morris’ first opponent (of a possible four) will be Andrew Luck, quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts. Morris is a seven seed while Luck is a two seed.
If he manages to get past the former No. 1 overall pick of the 2013 draft, he will face the winner of the matchup between Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. Vote Here
