Gallery: FAU Baseball loses to University of Florida 10-8
The Florida Atlantic University Owls (6-2) fell to University of Florida Gators (7-1) after leading for much of the game. The Owls led until the top of the fourth, when the Gators scored three runs on four consecutive hits to go from being down 3-1 to being up 4-3.
The Gators put three runs on the board in the top of the sixth to go up 7-3, but the Owls tied it in the bottom half of the inning. After senior infielder CJ Chatham ran to home base on an error, senior infielder Ricky Santiago cleared the bases with a double to tie the score at seven. The Gators had another three run inning in the top of the eighth, and FAU was unable to make the comeback, scoring one run in the final three innings to lose 10-8.
Redshirt junior Devon Carr received the loss for the Owls, while redshirt sophomore Mike Vinson picked up the win for UF. Junior Taylor Lewis earned his second save of the season for the Gators.
