Reflections and Notes:

Volleyball:
Volleyball has won five straight games, and six of their last seven coming into this week.

The Owls have not lost at home this season (7-0). Their last defeat in Boca Raton was on Nov. 2, 2014 versus Rice. In the past two years, FAU has gone 15-3 at home.

12 of Volleyball’s 14 wins this year have come on sweeps of their opponents.

Cross Country:
Both the men’s and women’s teams took fifth place in their respective competitions at the USF Collegiate Invitational.

Freshman Conor Fitzgerald was the best men’s finisher at 13th place with a time of 26:56.00 in the 8k. Sophomore Liz Wellman was the best finisher of the women, taking 11th overall with a time of 22:39.00 in the 6k.

Women’s Soccer:
Claire Emslie is two goal from women’s soccer’s all-time scoring record of 28 (held by Kelly McGrath), currently sitting at 26 for her career. The senior midfielder has three regular season games and at least one playoff game to tie or break the record.
With their win last Friday, the Owls are currently on a four-game winning streak, their longest of the season so far. The streak is the most Conference USA games won in a row in program history.
Redshirt junior goalie Sydney Drinkwater has seven shutouts this season, boosting her career total to 15. Drinkwater is now second all time to Molly Keating’s career mark of 25 clean sheets.

Football:
Football is now 0-4 at home to start the year, and have not won a home game since Oct. 18, 2014 versus Western Kentucky (They have gone 0-6 in that stretch).
