It’s the day that everyone knows all too well — the day where couples are out on the town while singles buy themselves chocolate, watch movies at home and get takeout.
Still haven’t figured out where you want to go tomorrow? Boca Raton has you covered with Valentine’s Day specials at restaurants, movie theaters and more. Here are a few of the best options in town.
iPic Theaters:
Are you 21 or over? Do you want to make the classic date of dinner and a movie a reality this Valentine’s Day?
If so, hit up iPic Theaters in Mizner Park for a love-themed night. Tickets are $16 each for Premium seating and $28 for Premium Plus seating.
If you’re in need of dinner plans, head on over to Italian-themed restaurant Tanzy, found in the same building. A six-course experience will be available for $69 per person during Valentine’s Day weekend only.
iPic Theaters and Tanzy are located at 301 Plaza Real, just two miles away from campus.
Vino Van Gogh | Paint, Wine and Art Bar:
If you’re looking to change up your routine during Valentine’s Day, why not paint a canvas with a glass a wine? Vino Van Gogh, the “Paint, Wine and Art Bar” is offering two painting sessions, one at 2:30 p.m. and one at 6:30 p.m.
“It’s a great place to go, whether you are on a date with your partner or if you are going with a group of friends,” said Samantha Gentile, a graduate student studying women, gender and sexuality. “Perfect place to de-stress from school by getting creative and enjoying your favorite bottle of wine.”
Vino Van Gogh is located at 153 NE Fourth Ave. in Delray Beach, about 10 miles from campus. You can register for your painting experience here.
Chili’s:
If you’re looking for a simpler way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, Chili’s has a $20 dinner deal that includes appetizer, two entrees and a dessert to share.
Want to take it to the next level? You can pay an extra $15 to add two margaritas to your meal. This week only, a white chocolate molten cake will be available as well.
“I think Chili’s is great because of the laid-back atmosphere,” said senior studio art major Jose Deveaux, who admitted that his favorite meal on the menu had to be the burgers. “The food is good and it’s not too pricy.”
Chili’s is located at 21078 St. Andrews Blvd. — five miles from campus — right next to the Town Center Mall.
Dairy Queen:
If you want something different from the standard Valentine’s Day fare, Dairy Queen is offering a Red Velvet Blizzard Cupid’s Cake and Singles Blizzard Treat composed of salted caramel truffles, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, rich cocoa fudge and peanut butter.
The nearest Dairy Queen is located at 1000 Linton Blvd. — six miles away from campus.
P.F. Chang’s:
P.F. Chang’s is currently offering a dinner for two option that includes a soup, an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert for $39.95 this Valentine’s Day. Enjoy savory favorites like pad thai and mongolian beef for dinner, and then end the night with chocolate raspberry or sweet cream dessert wontons.
