The Homecoming comedy show is back on the FAU roster, featuring improv comedians from MTV’s “Wild n’ Out.”

Sketch comedians Rip Michaels, Darren “Big Daddy” Brand, and Nate Jackson will headline the show.

The fall comedy show was taken out of the Homecoming lineup in 2016 and moved to the spring for the first time since 2009 due to budget cuts and “the increased emphasis on producing events for FAU students that are quality over quantity,” assistant Director of Student Activities and Involvement Richard Mahler said.

“Building a quality comedy show back into the Homecoming lineup was extremely important to this year’s staff,” he added.

Although many of the university’s past comedy shows have had an opening act, Mahler said that there will not be one for the fall 2017 show.

“Since the roster is three awesome comedians, the team felt there was no need for other comedians in the lineup,” Mahler said.

The event’s budget is $25,000, according to the assistant director.

“This includes security, catering, production, staffing, and the comedians contract which came in at 15,000 all-inclusive of travel, food, hotel, and performance,” he said.

The show will be held tomorrow in the Student Union auditorium starting at 8 p.m. The event is free for students.
