Adrenaline pumping, sweat-breaking glow in the dark zumba had students get loose with neon lights and music in the Grand Palm Room on Monday night.

Roughly 20 students filled the room as Program Board hosted their first glow-in-the-dark zumba. On arrival, students were given glow sticks and necklaces as an accessory to enhance the experience.

Program Board plans their events on a weekly basis to keep the student body involved.

“We want the events for the student body to be enjoyable and appealing when they come to our events,” said Alvaro Sanchez, member of Program Board.

At every event that they host, students are asked to take a poll to vote on which events that students are most interested in.

“We create events that are relaxing for students,” said Natalie Antoine, member of Program Board. “Get their mind off of school.”

After the event ended, participants went to grab their water bottles and towels.

According to Program Board, there will be a plan to possibly continuing the concept of glow in the dark zumba class.
