For the third time, the FAU pep band will perform for President Trump at his International Golf Club.

First lady Melania Trump and her husband will host the band tonight before their Super Bowl watch party at the club, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The FAU Parliament Sound pep band consists of 25 musicians and is a component of the Athletic Band Program.

“We have played the Mar-a-Lago Super Bowl party two other times in the past,” FAU spokeswoman Lisa Metcalf said. “The Mar-a-Lago event organizers reached out first in 2015.”

Although the FAU Marching Band is listed as a performer on a White House advisory list, the pep band will be sent instead. This is because the marching band is “a fall-term class,” Metcalf said.

The pep band is a spring-term class that regularly performs for the FAU men’s and women’s basketball games, along with other on-campus events.

The University Press asked Director of Bands and Coordinator of Winds and Percussion Kyle Prescott what songs will be performed, but did not receive a response as of publication time.

Super Bowl 2018 will air tonight at 6:30 p.m. with the New England Patriots playing against the Philadelphia Eagles in Minneapolis.
